The Enjoyment of Christ in the Local Church Portrayed in the New Testament

Christ is the most enjoyable person in the universe. We not only experience this person in the local church, but even the more, we richly enjoy Him here.

When John’s disciples came to the Lord to ask why His disciples didn’t fast, the Lord’s reply was, “You cannot make the sons of the bridechamber fast while while the bridegroom is with them, can you?” (Luke 5:34) Our dear Bridegroom is with us! We enjoy this most pleasant person with the other sons of the bridechamber in the local church.

8. Enjoying the God of Peace Crushing Satan under our Feet

9. Enjoying and Testifying of His Faithfulness

10. Enjoying Christ as the Healing Life of the Body

Ultimately, we enjoy this wonderful person Christ as our God-given portion in the local church. The ten facets of our enjoyment of Christ mentioned above are but a sampling from the New Testament of our inexhaustible enjoyment of Him in the local churches.
